Dear Families and Carers,
It feels impossible that we are already heading towards the final weeks of the school year! We have an action-packed couple of months ahead, and we are very excited about all the events coming up. Please see the poster for full details.
Thank you so much for all your support in the spring term. The Easter Egg Hunt feels like a long time ago now, but we really appreciated everyone who came along and got involved in saying farewell to Mr Sutherland.
A really huge thank you also goes to the brilliant band Padre, who so kindly gave up their afternoon to keep us entertained and rocking out.
As you have probably guessed, the whole of FOPJS and the school team were absolutely delighted with the progress made at Dig Day. It really showed just how much can be achieved when there is a big group of willing helpers. We hope to see more of this kind of community spirit over the coming years — you truly can make a difference to your children’s time at school, and Dig Day was proof of that.
Please don’t forget our Coins to Change campaign. If you have any foreign coins or notes from any country, you can bring them in and drop them into the donation pot by the office. This is such a simple way to raise money for the school, but it will make a great difference and be a real benefit to our children.
We tried very hard to arrange a final disco this term but were unable to find a suitable date with our action-packed months ahead.
There is still plenty for the children to look forward to, particularly the High School Musical production, which pupils and staff are working so hard to prepare for.
Year 6 Leavers’ Disco
This is not a PTA-led event, so it will be down to Year 6 parents and carers to organise and run it. Some financial support will be available from FOPJS, but the event will only be able to go ahead if volunteers come forward to help organise it.

Sponsored Read Fundraiser
Our final big fundraiser of the year will be our Sponsored Read. We are excited to get the children involved in celebrating reading while raising money for the school.
We know this time of year can feel very busy, so participation is flexible. Families can donate online or take part using sponsor forms.
We are raising money for AR Reader — a hugely valuable resource that supports reading across the school and helps foster confidence, progress, and a love of books in our children.
Sponsor forms will be available to print off next week, and our JustGiving page goes live on Thursday.
