WELCOME TO PATCHAM JUNIOR sCHOOL
Welcome to another edition of On Our Patch. Once again it’s packed full of insight and celebration about all of the exciting things that have been happening at Patcham Junior School in the last few weeks.
January seemed to last an eternity, with way more rain than seems fair, but although it was lengthy, it meant that there was lots of time for curiosity and learning.
Both girls and boys football matches have taken place this half term; Year 5 visited the planetarium in Chichester and the Brighton and Hove Indoor Athletics competition saw PJS finish 3rd overall. Albion in the community (AITC) visited the school to share their STEM Football expertise with the children and on the last day of the month, some of our talented girl footballers had a wonderful day at the Albion’s world-class Elite Performance centre in Lancing as well as Year 4s enjoying their second visit from renowned professional chef, John McManus!
It’s been quite a month…
Thank you all again for your kind words of encouragement for our striking teachers this week too, I have shared these with the team.

Admissions for September 2023
Dear prospective parents and carers,
If you are considering applying for a place at Patcham Junior School for September 2023 please be aware that the closing date for applications will be in January 2023. This needs to be done, even if your child currently attends Patcham Infant School.
We are currently planning to hold two open mornings on the 6th and 7th of October at 9.15am to ensure that you are as well informed as possible about Patcham Junior School. There is no requirement to book, simply just arrive no earlier than 10 minutes before the start time.
If you are unable to attend one of the planned mornings, it may be possible to visit the school on another occasion, please contact the school office directly to arrange this.
Our website has lots of useful information, but If you would like to speak to myself or to one of the members of my senior leadership team about what learning is like at our school, then please do get in touch via the school office and we will be pleased to get back to you via email or with a phone call.
