As part of our World Book Day celebrations our FOPJS have arranged a sponsored read for the children.
This year, we are asking the children to pledge to read an amount of words during the month
of March to celebrate World Book Day and to raise funds for the school library refurbishment
project. We are asking for most children to pledge the following amounts, but each child can
choose the number of words they aim to read:
Year 3 children to read 20,000 words in March
Year 4 children to read 30,000 words in March
Year 5 children to read 35,000 words in March
Year 6 children to read 40,000 words in March
The amount of words read will be collected from books read and quizzed on Accelerated
Reader which every PJS child has access to in class as well as at home.
Children have their AR log in details inside their homework diaries
